Clearing of a Deceased Estate
We are very experienced in helping with deceased estates. Many families can get overwhelmed after a death in the family, we can support you through the process and attend promptly to all those large and small details that need attention prior to a house being listed for sale.
Assessment/Planning Phase :
- Meet with the executor/family at the home and assess the situation
- Present options and formulate an action plan
- Provide a rough estimate
Some options for the Action Phase:
- Decide, with the family, which items of furniture etc are to be sold, then photograph and list for sale
- Collect together all private papers, photos, precious items, keys etc for handing back to family
- Pack up items for donation
- Complete a thorough interior and exterior clean of the house
- Tidy up the general property, garden, outbuildings and lawns
- Organise rubbish removal
- Co-ordinate with tradespersons and real estate agents
- Complete on-going maintenance of the property until it sells
- Provide regular updates to the executor/family
