When you need to downsize your home’s contents we can help in many ways ranging from advice and planning, through to working with you at a pace that suits you, and we emotionally support you through the whole process. There are 2 main phases to what we could do to help you…

Assessment/Planning Phase :

  • Meet with you and assess your unique situation
  • Present you with options and an action plan
  • Provide you with an estimate for the different options

Some options for the Action Phase:

Each job is different but generally we follow this process:

We start with a general sweep of the house, beginning with you identifying what we call the “Low Hanging Fruit”.  Those are the items that you know straight away that you don’t need anymore, as you identify them we gather them all together and remove them from the house.

Once all the “low hanging fruit” have been packed up and removed, then you decide which room to start on. We get you settled in a comfortable chair (if needed) where you can keep an eye on everything and direct us what to do with each item. We then systematically work through the room, cleaning as we go.

We can help you to sort through your keepsakes, your books and other collections, your treasures and memories as well as your confidential papers and reorganise them in a way that suits you. We can box up similar items (photos, books, private papers, keepsakes etc), and label all the boxes so that you can actually find things later when you want them!

We can help with the selling of superfluous furniture and other items, and the recycling/repurposing and distribution of unwanted items to local charities as well as removal of general rubbish to a transfer station.

Finally we help set up your home so that its clean, neat and tidy, and you can find things easily!
